| Heredity vs environment: Heredity- refers to the passing on features from one generation to the next. Heredity determines how tall your body can grow. Environment- refers to everything in an organisms surroundings. For you, environment includes what you put into your body food, water, air and airborne pollutants. Puberty: begins with the earliest signs that the adult body parts are developing. It continues until physical, mental and emotional maturity are reached. During puberty, nearly everyone goes through the same stages of development in the same order. But the age at which puberty begins is different for everyone. So is the rate at which it continues. |
