Non-renewable energy: Energy that you can only use once and never use again.

Examples of non-renewable resources:

Fossil fuels
  -Coal
  -Crude petroleum
  -Natural gas
Fossil fuels contain a great amount of energy, and can only be found in sedimentary rock. Since all of it was formed long ago, we cannot produce it and there is a limited amount of it.
Nuclear energy
Nuclear energy is stored in the central part of an atom, called the nucleus. It can be converted into intense heat, sound, light, and several other forms of energy.
